Lea has styled and highlighted my hair for twenty years: from pixies to longer “short cuts”, she is an artist with exceptional skill. She has the ability to assess what style suits my face at a particular time in my life.

I have so much fine hair that texturizing well is paramount to having my cut grow out beautifully; this is no small thing for people with short hair cuts.

Occasionally, I had ventured out to other salons deemed “New York trained stylists”, etc. to no avail.

Matea is the absolute best, truly. I have never been to a better hairstylist! It’s really hard to find someone who can give you the blonde you actually want, so I am so grateful I found her. She knows exactly what to do. She doesn’t overcomplicate things with a ton of products, and there’s never any damage. My hair is long, thin, and naturally a dirty-ish blonde, and she brightens it in a way that still looks natural, even as it grows out between appointments. The salon’s prices are very reasonable which makes it comfortable being there knowing that I am getting the hair I want without overpaying (which, in my experience, seems extremely common with blonding services.) I cannot say enough good things about Jeanette at Styling Company! I first went to her for a color correction after my hair turned an awful brassy shade from a previous salon, and she did an absolutely incredible job. She truly listened to what I wanted, explained the process clearly, and completely nailed it. My color came out beautiful and exactly what I was hoping for.

After that, I had Jeanette order and install K-tip extensions, and wow—just wow. I spent the day with her during the install, and the experience was fantastic. She is so knowledgeable, patient, and meticulous. The extensions look flawless, blend perfectly, and I am completely obsessed with them.

Jeanette is a true professional—very articulate, detail-oriented, and someone who genuinely takes her time to make sure everything is perfect, which I really appreciate. On top of that, she is so pleasant and easy to talk to, which makes the whole experience even better.

Before I came to Styling Co. I felt hopeless that my hair would ever come back to life after years of bleaching. It was extremely damaged, dry, and needed a serious color correction. Amazing talent here! Beautiful salon (minus the filthy/moldy vent I stared at for about an hour at the sink) my colorist (Laura I believe) did an incredible job considering the last time I stepped foot in a salon almost a year ago before my daughter was born (different salon) botched my color AND tried to bully me into it being my fault. Jeanette cut my hair and was so easy to talk to making the painful (back issues) hours it took to fix my hair easier to get through. Unfortunately you get what you pay for and my hair needed HELP. Fortunately for me it was all worth it. I haven't left a salon THIS happy with my results in YEARS and in NYC top salons. Also the cost won't come close to what I spent in future sessions due to all the fixing needed. Parking was a little rough due to major construction near by. I think a new luxury condo is being built and due to booking every 15 min (so I was told) after I got in the chair for the consult (which I was almost 25 min early for) I sat for almost 35 more min because she was finishing up with another client. I do have to say though she was thorough with everyone so, again, you get what you pay for. Just be patient. Alot extra time and try to enjoy time away. I'm a 2 under 2 mom so "getting away" isn't really a thing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND....more
